​About the painting

 

The painting features the Japanese character for silence, quiet, stillness and serenity.

 

It is a subtle and quite painting that was painted using just white oil paints; Titanium white, Warm white and unbleached titanium white.

 

Because of the variation in textures the elements are barely visible in some lighting but come to the fore in others. This means that during the day as the ambient light direction and intensity changes the painting also changes.
