About the painting

This painting was inspired by a second visit to the construction site during the regeneration of the power station. At this point the activity was at it's peak.

​

This is a subtle and quite painting that was painted using just Titanium white oil paints. It is purely light falling onto the textures in the paint that create what you see. This means that in some lighting the elements are very subdued and almost invisible but stand out dramatically in others. During the day as the ambient light direction and intensity changes the painting also changes. It also means that as you walk round the painting it also changes.
